Privacy is the space that an individual can enjoy without anyone intervening.
A Privacy Control collects and logs individual and private details that can be secured and restored at a later time. It is the responsibility of the Privacy Control to see that your data is kept private.
This is the data that the user is unwilling to part with. Personal information when compromised may cost heavily to a business or an individual.

The online collection of personal data (i.e., shopping preferences, interests, etc) occurs in two ways:
1. Data may be collected through your input of Privacy data, such as during a financial transaction.
2. Detailed Privacy information can be collected when you peek into chat rooms, glance at bulletin boards or browse through online libraries. Also if you ftp a file, your actions can generate a personally identifiable record. Your Privacy data can be collected and stored while you believe that you remain anonymous.
Information about the computer system you use to access the network -- such as the IP number, domain name, browser type or operating system can also be collected if you do not have a Privacy Suite.
